Queen Rearing – May 11, 2015

Tony Benge with Mountain Valley Apiaries will back to show and tell us everything we need to know to raise queen bees. Tony is a favorite of the Surry Beekeepers and has been supporting us for many years. He’s provided nucs for bee school more than once, has provided the bees for our extension hive, and this year along with Kidd Bee Supplies has donated a complete hive with top feeder to the bee school. Anyone who has purchased queens or nucs from Tony knows that you get the best quality so having him share his expertise is a real treat.
